These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Numia mobile application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Numia, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Numia is (and is not)

Numia helps you track food, calories, macro- and micronutrients, activity, and related wellness data, with AI-assisted food recognition, meal planning, and coaching insights.

Numia is not a medical service. All calorie targets, nutrition estimates, AI insights, and recommendations are informational only and may be inaccurate. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you are pregnant, have an eating disorder, diabetes, or any other medical condition.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Numia.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Numia Pro subscription

• Numia offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("Numia Pro") that unlocks unlimited AI scans, the AI meal planner, AI coach, micronutrient insights, and weekly reports.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• If offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Unused trial time is forfeited on purchase where the store's rules say so.
• Refunds are handled by Apple / Google under their store policies.

4. Your content & community rules

Numia lets you add friends, share meals and progress, and let a friend act as your coach (including notes they write for you). For any content you create or share you agree:

• No abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
• No impersonation, spam, or sharing of other people's personal data without consent.
• You can remove a friend at any time (which also removes their access to your data) and report users or content from their profile. We review reports and may remove content and suspend or ban accounts at our discretion.
• You grant us the limited license needed to store and display your content to the people you chose to share it with. You keep ownership of your content.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't break, probe, or overload the Service, scrape it, or attempt to access other users' data.
• Don't reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
• Don't use the Service for anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, models, and content we provide, is owned by Numia or its licensors and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights other than the personal, non-transferable right to use the app.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI-generated recognition, portions, calorie and nutrient values are estimates and can be wrong. Third-party data sources (e.g. food databases, health platforms) may be incomplete or inaccurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Numia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, health outcomes, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Numia at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (4–8, 10) survive.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use Numia after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
